Centerprise International has been a BECTA accredited supplier providing services and solutions to the education market for more than a decade. CI has supplied products, services and support to Primary schools, Middle schools, Secondary schools, Colleges, Universities and Learning Education Authorities.
In 1995 we were one of only 12 UK companies awarded National grid for learning (NGfL) supplier status, and held this through the next 2 iterations of competitions. When BECTA competed the ‘Service Providers’ programme, CI were one of 20 suppliers selected.
Major Initiatives
CI was awarded some major initiatives such as the ‘Portables for Teachers’ initiative for phase 1, 2 and 3, which saw the deployment of 15,000 devices nationwide. In addition CI were given the ‘Looked after Children’ (LAC) project for Somerset County Council and the ‘Fast Track for Teachers’ project.
CI has continued to work under the BECTA standards and also supply education under the, ESPO, NEPO, CBC, CPC, (PRO 4) and Value Wales framework agreements.
Case Studies
CLEO (Cumbria Lancashire Education Office)
CI has implemented many projects, such as the installation and support of 958 Caching devices to all the primary and secondary schools in Cumbria and Lancashire. This project was delivered ahead of schedule and will be supported by us for a term of 4 years. CI has been successful in winning the contract to refresh the caching hardware.
Kings School
The complete redesign of King’s School Canterbury, one of the oldest schools in Britain (597AD), included the full evaluation of their current infrastructure, deployment of a Thin Client solution, Implementation of HP 4100 virtualised storage area network, and the Virtualisation of 25 original servers into 5. Also included was a full Disaster Recovery package, with remote diagnostics and management tools.
Colden Common Primary School
CI initially supplied the Infrastructure cabling, Laptops and a Server to Colden Common along with a 1 year maintenance contract. As the school’s needs developed Colden Common turned to Centerprise to supply and install Whiteboards and OHP’s. In year 2 Colden Common Primary School evaluated their service needs and entrusted us with the management of their infrastructure. This contract has been renewed yearly.
