Business Unit Overview
The Defence SI Trainee Account Manager will be taught to develop and grow an existing customer base enabling them to gain the skills required to increase Centerprise’s Defence market share, with the aim of closing new business opportunities as an established and independent Account Manager within their first year. Due to the nature of this position, the new starter will be required to successfully undergo Security Clearance within 3 months of commencing the role.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Utilise demand generation activity to develop new potential customers by qualifying and tracking leads, researching and identifying key contacts, establishing business relationships, qualifying new accounts and engaging with customers at all levels in order to build a solid go-forward pipeline of business opportunities.
Develop networks of relationships and contacts across allocated accounts in order to generate internal referrals with the aim of closing more opportunities in new areas of Defence.
Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and existing customers through regular face-to-face engagement and meetings.
Create solutions with either partners or internal pre-sales then work with Bid Management to deliver competitive proposals, and ensure compliance with the stated processes and methodologies.
Monitor client satisfaction and elevate issues of dissatisfaction for quick resolution in order to drive customer retention and renewals.
Collect and manage the necessary competitive advantage by establishing business intelligence through close engagement with all stakeholders.
Work with our partners to share, develop and evangelise Centerprise’s value proposition to the Defence sector.
Develop broader sector knowledge and experience to allow for portfolio development within Centerprise.
