Windows 7 Support Is Ending Soon – It’s Not Too Late To Upgrade To Windows 10

After 10 years, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 on January 14th 2020. If your business is currently still on Windows 7 what does this mean for you going forward?

Need not worry, we discuss exactly what this change means for your business and the good that can come out of this change.

With over 900 million devices currently running Windows 10 and that number only set to exceed the 1 billion mark within the next year, there simply is no better time to upgrade. Microsoft is putting all its time, effort and resources into getting the most of the operating system and as such Windows 7 must take the hit.

Windows 10 has now surpassed Windows 7 in popularity and there is no better time to upgrade than now.

So what exactly does end of support mean? When the 14th January 2020, your device will still function as normal but Microsoft will no longer provide the following:

-    Software Updates
-    Security Updates or Fixes
-    Technical Support For Any Issues

Whilst you will still be able to continue running Windows 7 without continuous software and security updates, it will be susceptible to viruses and malware which could harm your PC but ultimately your organisation.

Going forward the best way to ensure you have the best security in place is to upgrade to Windows 10. Now, this may seem like a daunting task but it’s really a lot more straightforward than you might think.
