Join Centerprise at a key stage in our private sector growth and help create new opportunities across managed services, education IT, esports for education, and business continuity solutions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building conversations, and turning prospecting activity into qualified meetings that matter. You will play a direct part in shaping the pipeline, supporting growth, and helping our sales team focus on the right opportunities.
Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to generate qualified new business pipeline across three strategic growth areas: mid-market private sector and system integration, education IT and esports for education, and business continuity and resilience services.
This is a dedicated pipeline generation role focused on identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, and booking high-quality meetings for Account Managers and specialists. It is not a closing role. Its focus is on creating consistent, commercially relevant opportunities.
What you’ll do
Pipeline generation
- Build new business pipeline through outbound calling, LinkedIn outreach, email sequences, and follow-up from events and campaigns
- Identify decision makers across mid-market organisations and education establishments
- Build and manage prospect lists aligned to target sectors and growth priorities
Qualification and handover
- Qualify opportunities by understanding need, timing, commercial relevance, and stakeholder engagement
- Confirm organisational fit before handing opportunities to the relevant Account Manager
- Book qualified meetings that give the sales team a strong platform to progress
Campaign collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Marketing team to support outreach campaigns
- Help shape sector-specific messaging for different audiences and solution areas
- Use engagement insights to refine approach and improve results over time
Commercial focus
- Recognise the difference between hardware-led opportunities and higher-value service-led engagements
- Prioritise opportunities that support strategic growth across managed IT services, continuity, and education solutions
- Contribute to a more predictable and commercially viable sales pipeline
Systems and discipline
- Keep Dynamics CRM accurate and up to date with prospect and opportunity information
- Maintain structured follow-up and clear activity tracking across your pipeline
- Use tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and automation platforms effectively
What success looks like
- A consistent flow of qualified attended meetings for the sales team
- Strong sales acceptance of the opportunities you hand over
- Pipeline growth across all three strategic pillars
- Clear, reliable CRM data that supports visibility and follow-up
- A focused, disciplined prospecting approach that creates predictable new business opportunities
What you’ll bring
Core experience
- Previous experience in B2B outbound sales, lead generation, telemarketing, recruitment, or appointment setting
- Confidence in making high volumes of outbound calls and engaging senior decision makers
- A track record of generating meetings and qualifying opportunities
- Experience working with activity-based KPIs such as calls, conversations, and meetings booked
Technical capability
- Good general awareness of IT solutions, managed services, or technology environments
- The ability to learn and communicate high-level value across managed services and infrastructure, education IT, and business continuity solutions
- Confidence using Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and sales automation tools
- Strong CRM discipline and accurate data entry
Behaviours/approach
- Confident, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong questioning and listening skills to uncover customer needs
- Resilience, self-motivation, and comfort working in a KPI driven environment
- Good objection handling skills at the early-stage prospecting level
- Strong organisation, prioritisation, and follow-through
- A creative and proactive approach to generating new opportunities
Desirable
- Experience selling or generating leads in the IT, managed services, education technology, or continuity markets
- Familiarity with tools such as Dynamics CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- An interest in modern lead generation tools, including AI-enabled prospecting and content tools
