As esports continues to expand rapidly within Further and Higher Education, Blackburn College identified the need for a dedicated facility. Their vision was clear: to create a versatile, professional-grade environment. Yoyotech worked closely with the college’s leadership and IT team from the outset, translating this vision into a fully realised arena that seamlessly blends technology, atmosphere, and educational value.
When Ibstock Place School set out to create a flagship esports arena within its Innovation Centre, the project began with an underused storage room. The aim was to create a space for competitive gaming, coaching and digital confidence. Yoyotech transformed the room into a performance arena with 12 gaming stations, teaching tools, upgraded infrastructure and acoustic treatment, supporting students from Year 7 to Year 13.
At The Hub at Foulston Park, Plymouth Argyle Community Trust set out to create a high-performance esports facility within a wider community redevelopment. The aim was to build a safe, welcoming space for education, youth engagement and social connection. Yoyotech delivered 20 high-spec gaming stations in a versatile arena, supporting local pay-and-play sessions, tournaments and BTEC delivery with City College Plymouth.
