Role Summary
As an Account Manager within the Rugged Sales team, you will focus on identifying and securing new reseller customers while developing a portfolio of active buying accounts. You will work across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to quotations, proposals, customer meetings and account development.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will help customers understand how Ci Distribution’s products and services can support their requirements while contributing to the continued growth of the rugged technology division.
What you’ll do
Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and outreach
- Build and maintain a pipeline of reseller customers and sales opportunities
- Convert leads into active customer accounts
- Promote the full range of Ci Distribution products and services
Account Management
- Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their business needs
- Provide advice and guidance on appropriate technology solutions
- Maintain regular contact with customers to support account growth and retention
- Identify opportunities to expand customer engagement and spend
Sales Delivery
- Prepare quotations, proposals and customer presentations
- Support product demonstrations and training activities where required
- Work towards and exceed agreed sales targets
- Manage opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle
Reporting & Governance
- Maintain accurate pipeline information and sales activity records
- Produce KPI and management reports as required
- Ensure sales activities and customer information are updated consistently
- Follow company processes and procedures
Professional Development
- Build knowledge of the IT industry, products and services
- Develop expertise across the rugged technology portfolio
- Continuously improve sales skills and commercial awareness
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business

What you’ll bring
Core Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a sales role
- Experience in telesales or an internal sales environment
- Proven ability to generate new business opportunities
- Experience developing customer relationships and converting opportunities into sales
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
Technical Capability
- Good understanding of, or strong interest in developing knowledge of, the IT industry
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to understand customer technology requirements and communicate solutions effectively
