Help shape and grow Centerprise’s cyber security business across UK Defence. You will combine technical credibility, commercial focus and an established understanding of the Defence community to develop opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and deliver solutions that address mission-critical security challenges.
Role Summary
As MOD Cyber Security Account Manager, you will lead business development across new and existing Defence accounts. Working with customers, technology partners and internal specialists, you will help refine our cyber security portfolio, execute the go-to-market strategy and build a strong pipeline of long-term opportunities.
What you’ll do
Business development
- Use your professional network and demand generation activity to identify and develop opportunities across the Defence community.
- Qualify and track leads, research target accounts and engage key decision-makers.
- Re-establish previous customer relationships while developing new accounts.
- Build a sustainable pipeline aligned with Centerprise’s growth ambitions.
- Increase awareness of Centerprise’s cyber security products and services across Defence.
Customer engagement
- Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels, including senior cyber security specialists.
- Understand each customer’s cyber maturity, threat environment, vulnerabilities and security priorities.
- Translate complex security requirements into relevant, tailored solutions.
- Maintain long-term relationships by providing informed, credible and commercially focused support.
Cyber security solutions
- Maintain current knowledge of cyber security technologies, services and emerging customer requirements.
- Work with customers to identify solutions that address their security concerns.
- Support the planning and deployment of new security technologies alongside Centerprise’s Services team.
- Help customers identify implementation challenges and develop effective responses.
Partners and propositions
- Work closely with leading cyber security partners to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Help refine Centerprise’s cyber security portfolio in line with Defence customer needs.
- Support the delivery of an agreed go-to-market strategy.
- Develop new partner relationships where they strengthen our customer proposition.
Proposals and governance
- Create customer solutions in collaboration with Centerprise’s Services team.
- Work with Bid Management to produce clear, competitive and compliant proposals.
- Follow established information security, governance, health and safety processes.

What you’ll bring
Core experience
- Proven experience in cyber security or Defence sales.
- A strong understanding of cyber security technologies and information security concepts.
- A good understanding of Cyber Security Operations Centre operations and managed security solutions.
- Genuine interest in the Defence sector.
- Experience developing new business in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Confidence engaging customers and stakeholders at senior levels.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to remote sites.
- At least five GCSEs at grades A–C, or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Technical capability
- Knowledge across multiple security domains, such as SIEM, firewalls, network intrusion prevention, data loss prevention and cloud security.
- Familiarity with cyber security products and managed security services.
- The ability to understand customers’ threat environments and discuss appropriate security solutions.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable
- Previous experience providing cyber security solutions to Defence customers.
- Military experience or an established background in Defence sales.
- Knowledge of the Defence procurement environment and relevant IT frameworks.
- Experience within relevant Defence communities, projects or programmes.
- CISSP or CISM certification.
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.
