Role Description

Ci continues to grow and cement its position within the Public Sector as the go-to VAR and Managed Service Provider. Its year-on-year growth, specifically within Public Sector, now needs a Cisco Product Specialist ready to make an impact and grow our sales pipeline further. This new role will focus on developing new areas of business whilst overseeing and consolidating our approach within our current customer base.  The successful candidate will work alongside the Sales Director and Director, Defence and Security, to develop a coherent Cisco Strategy, leveraging existing and new relationships with Cisco. Our ideal applicant will have demonstrable Cisco product and service experience and be able to operate at a senior level.

 

Main Duties of the Role:

 

Vendor Alliance Management

Act as the primary point of contact between the reseller and Cisco across all business units.

Own and manage Cisco partnership levels, certifications, specialisations, and accreditations (e.g., Gold Partner status, CX Specialisation).

Lead QBRs and ongoing business planning with Cisco stakeholders.

Monitor and influence Cisco incentive programs (VIP, OIP, TIP, Lifecycle Incentives) to drive profitability.

Align with Cisco Partner Account Managers (PAMs), Partner Marketing, and Distribution teams to create and execute joint initiatives.

 

Sales Strategy & Enablement

Support and enable Ci sales teams to identify and qualify Cisco opportunities.

Act as a Cisco subject matter expert and evangelist within the business.

Build and manage Cisco pipeline forecasting in collaboration with account teams.

Drive upsell/cross-sell across Cisco architectures (e.g., Meraki, Security, Data Centre, Collaboration).

Provide commercial support and pricing strategy for Cisco bids, working with distribution and Cisco bid desks.

 

Go-to-Market Planning

Develop and execute joint GTM campaigns and demand generation plans with Cisco and Ci marketing.

Planned and delivered Cisco-led sales enablement sessions, events, and campaigns.

In coordination with Ci Marketing, track marketing development funds (MDF) and co-investment budgets, ensuring that spending is ROI-driven and aligned with strategic priorities.

 

Operational and Commercial Excellence

Maintain accurate reporting and dashboards for Cisco sales performance, rebate tracking, and growth against KPIs.

Ensure adherence to Cisco deal registration policies and compliance standards.

Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams on supply chain alignment for Cisco products.

 

Internal Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with Sales, Presales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to create a Cisco-aligned growth strategy.

Serve as the escalation point for Cisco-related issues, pricing, and opportunity blockers.

Act as a coordination point representing Cisco in Bid governance and working with the various business areas and the bid team to submit winning proposals and bids on time.
