The way public sector organisations consume IT has seen rapid change in recent years. Coronavirus has been a catalyst, accelerating many of the trends that were already emerging. Out goes the traditional capital investment model – with expensive one-off outlays on new hardware and software. In comes a new, more agile cost-efficient pay-per-use model.

Hybrid Cloud, as it’s known, is at the heart of it. And it’s the subject of Centerprise and HPE’s upcoming webinar: “Understand how the Crown Commercial Service MOU with HPE enables the adoption of the Government’s Cloud First policy” on 21st October.

“Understand how the Crown Commercial Service MOU with HPE enables the adoption of the Government’s Cloud First policy”

  • What is Hybrid Cloud?

Hybrid Cloud integrates centrally managed services from your own datacentre with public cloud providers. This leverages the huge power of the cloud to enable more agile, secure delivery of IT services. It’s transformative in many ways. Users benefit from a faster, more reliable experience wherever they are, boosting their individual productivity.

IT administrators gain easy ‘single dashboard’ control over their entire network. And procurement managers can deliver cutting edge IT solutions – on a pay-per-use basis – avoiding the need for expensive one-off capital outlays.

In our webinar, Centerprise CEO Jeremy Nash will offer an overview of Hybrid Cloud solutions, while a Centerprise analyst will discuss the business case for the pay-per-use model.

“Hybrid Cloud - the cloud-like delivery of agile, secure, and centrally managed services from within your own datacentre, and across public cloud providers, is now recognised as the future-proof cost-saving model for both the private and public sectors.”

    Jeremy Nash, CEO, Centerprise

  • Why Hybrid Cloud is the future of IT for the public sector

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UK Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to enhance the cloud experience for public sector customers. The MOU gives public sector organizations access to HPE’s flexible, pay-per-use cloud experience at the edge and in their own data centre. Access to minimum agreed discounts and clear pricing will help simplify procurement.

To ensure fast, easy migration, HPE has curated a dedicated suite of Hybrid Cloud solutions, known as HPE GreenLake. Tony Stranack, Head of Information and Data Strategies (EMEA) at HPE will walk you through this in the webinar. He will also offer valuable insight into overcoming challenges – to deliver the best possible user experience.

“By leveraging HPE technologies, like HPE GreenLake, public sector organizations can reduce complexity, boost innovation and bring cost efficiency to their digital transformation efforts.”
